Parental Involvement
Successful cooperation between parents and pre-school is important and has a great impact on the development of your child. Your child's Key Worker will always make themselves available to discuss any concerns or answer any questions you may have.
There are a number of ways you can be involved in your child's experience at Molly's.
Tapestry
Tapestry is our online development app and allows parents to check in to see what their children have been up to. We share images, videos and key achievements, as well as important information and events, so you are always involved.
Book Packs
To encourage our children to further develop their reading, writing and number skills we have developed book packs for our older children to take home and share with their parents. The contact book ensures that we have an ongoing dialogue to support your child's learning experience.
Trips
We arrange a number of day trips for the children and parents are invited too! Without the participation of parents, many of these trips could not go ahead. We build in visits to local farms, an environmental centre, allotments, woodlands and the local church and libraries. We also support the local Memory Cafe, engaging with the elderly in the local area. All outings offer the children a rich and varied learning experience.
Stay and Play
We encourage any parent that can, to join us for a Stay and Play session at pre-school. This not only allows you to see just how much fun the children are having, but helps parents to further support their child's learning at home.
We post regular updates to our Facebook page so parents are encouraged to 'like' us to keep up to date on all the latest news, including our focus for the week and any important reminders.
Fundraising
To support the purchase of new equipment and maintenance of our premises, parents can help out with fundraising activities and initiatives that are fun and are invaluable to the pre-school. Our yearly Nativity play and Christmas concert, sports day and bake sales are always well received and the support of parents is greatly appreciated.
