Make decisions independently about how they want to use open-ended resources and come up with their own ideas for play.
Understand what it means to be a friend.
Enjoy being physical, choosing different ways of moving and be able to manage risk in their play.
Be able to independently care for themselves, including finding an adult if they need help, dressing themselves, using the toilet, pouring themselves a drink.
Enjoy exploring basic mathematical concepts through play, including shape, counting and pattern making.
Enjoy stories - listening to them, telling them and sharing with others.
Recognise and enjoy familiar rhymes, stories and songs.
Demonstrating resilience and begin to show a motivation for learning.
